Early 2020 Connex moved into their New office located at 1/222 Wisemans Ferry Road, Somersby.

The new office space provide our staff with a state of the art working environment which includes private and open work areas which include both standup and sit down desks. We now have the capacity for up to 10 Staff.

The space also features 2 boardrooms, a new kitchen area and a large storage area.

The standout features in our office is the fully exposed polished concrete floors and timber feature walls & ceiling in the main board room.

SPEERS POINT PUBLIC SCHOOL

The additions to the existing school at Speers Point include a new Administration Building, new Communal Hall, a new Library & a new Teaching Space. As well as the construction these new buildings we also refurbished existing classroom spaces in the old section of the school.

The new areas come with state of the art teaching equipment along with a huge range of new furniture within acoustically treated teaching spaces.

Along with the new classrooms that we constructed, within these spaces is a vast outdoor learning area and a yarning circle for the school to bring their classes to an external environment.

WANGI WANGI PUBLIC SCHOOL

Wangi Wangi Public School upgrade caters for the projected enrolment growth in the area.

New permanent, flexible, and innovative learning spaces for six classes, a new canteen, new hall, new staff facilities, administration buildings and toilet amenities has been delivered for the project. The refurbishment also included a new permanent room for special educational programs.

Collaborative learning spaces engage students and teachers based on their skill, interests and learning priorities and offers one-to-one, small groups and entire classroom activities with versatile, technology-rich teaching areas. 

At Wangi Wangi Public School, students in all curriculum areas and learning stages  are now equipped with a creative learning environment, providing them with skills and strengths to excel in a continually changing and inter connected world.

COFFS HARBOUR TAFE HEALTH HUB

The existing Q Block at Coffs Harbour Campus was extended across 3 levels and included the installation of a Lift.

The extension included upgrade of stormwater, electrical & communications services.

The new rooms have been installed with state of the art interactive whiteboards, Dental chair and associated equipment and a full range of furniture and dividing walls to split classes.

The project was delivered across several milestones allowing the client to take early access of completed stages.

REDHEAD AGED CARE FACILITY

This project was a design and construction of a new aged care facility with an extension and renovation of the existing facility. In total an additional 121 additional rooms have been added, commercial kitchen and laundry facilities, BBQ area, lawn bowls, children water play area, multiple lounge rooms and servery areas, men sheds, café and hairdresser.

The new facility can cater for both dementia/high and low care patients. Five lifts have been installed within this project to ensure easy access to all areas is achieved.

Construction consisted of Post tensioned concrete slabs, Dincel wall system and lightweight steel frame and trusses. The façade was face brick work, FC cladding systems with aluminium windows and sun hoods. Each bedroom has its own bathroom facilities.

SOUTHERN CROSS UNI ALLIED HEALTH

The $12million Health Sciences Building is a dynamic gateway health precinct to Southern Cross University in Coffs Harbour. Boasting a stunning passive solar building design and inspired by the biomechanics of movement, it incorporates an integrated running track that passes externally and internally, allowing for the capture of synchronised movement data.

The building contains:

Seven laboratories

Innovative teaching spaces

An external yarning circle learning space which features local Indigenous medicinal plants

Multi-purpose learning and research spaces

Cutting edge occupational therapy labs fitted with  specialised adaptive and accessible kitchen, laundry and bathroom teaching spaces.
